How should I store my skincare products?Updated 10 days ago
How you store your skincare products is very important for shelf life, hygiene and the effectiveness of the active ingredients. With good habits, you can ensure that the products stay fresh and effective – right down to the last drop.
Temperature and light
Skincare products do best when stored at room temperature (approx. 18–25 °C). Avoid placing them in direct sunlight, as UV rays can break down ingredients such as vitamin C, retinol and sun filters.
Products that feel especially pleasant when cooled – such as eye creams, sheet masks or soothing gels – may be stored in the refrigerator.
Packaging and hygiene
Good hygiene is essential if you want to prolong the shelf life of your skincare products. Always remember to close the lid tightly after use, and apply the product with clean hands.
Also avoid storing products in humid areas, such as right by the shower, as moisture can shorten their shelf life.
